We are driving from Wisconsin to Sioux Falls. Map Quest said it would be about 10 hours. We looking for a nice place to stop for lunch. Ideally a nice picnic area not far off I-90. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

It sounds like you%26#39;re looking for somewhere to stop in Minnesota if you%26#39;re looking for a lunch stop before you get to Sioux Falls. You might try the Minnesota forum.
A good places to stop for a picnic lunch in SD is the rest area in Chamberlain on the east side of the Missouri River. There%26#39;s a great view and tables.

Chamberlain also gets my vote...
Fantasic views from here..
Wothington, MN is a great place for picnic.
We drive from Minneapolis and it takes about three and a half to four hours to get to Sioux Falls. We like to stop in Belle Plain, MN. I agree that Chamberlain is beautiful, but it is quite a ways beyond Sioux Falls. What route are you taking?
We recently drove that way and we stopped in Blue Earth for Lunch at McDonalds with a air hockey table and playland - my 7 y/o loved it. There is also a park with the right off the interstate with a 50 feet high Jolly Green Giant Statue.
is there a sign or anything for the jolly green giant statue? This sounds like exactly the kind of random thing I need to be stopping to see on my road trip this fall!
The jolly green giant statue is right off of I-90 at Blue Earth.
Two other attractions along this line are a giant coffe pot at the Millard,NE exit on I-80 and a water tower shaped and painted to look like a hot air balloon at the York, NE exit on I-80.
