Driving distance, lodge to lodge

Hi. We will be staying at Sylvan Lake Lodge in September and plan to do most of our dining there. Does anyone know how long a drive it would be to the State Game Lodge or perhaps even Blue Bell/Legion Lake if we wanted to try those out as well? Thanks!

Driving distance, lodge to lodge

Sylvan to Game Lodge - 17 miles

Sylvan to Blue Bell - 15 miles

Others are closer. Sylvan to Custer - 7 miles on Hwy. 89. Don%26#39;t expect to drive very fast on any of these. :~)

It will take a good half hour (more if you get behind a few slow cars) to get from Sylvan to the Game Lodge. You can either take the Needles Highway or you can go south on 89 to Custer and take 16A. The Needles Highway will probably be slower but it%26#39;s worth driving several times.

You can get to Blue Bell/Legion Lake a little quicker but not much. You%26#39;ll take the 89 to 16A route for this.

You%26#39;ll be able to get from Sylvan Lake to the town of Custer pretty quick--15 minutes tops. Hill City is also about 15 minutes.

Thanks for the driving tips---we%26#39;re starting to get a much better feel for the area. We are staying multiple nights in Spearfish Canyon as well, at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge. It looks like we%26#39;ll have a similar situation there with limited choice of dinging spots without a drive. Thanks again!
