Campgrounds in western south dakota

We are looking at traveling to the western side of SD around July 10th for a week to 10 days. First time with kids and 2 small dogs. We have done the Sturgis thing many times and we do like the area around Spearfish and any where else in that general area we would like to have a pool and it%26#39;s always nice to have a bar on site but that%26#39;s always a slim chance.

Beaver Lake Campground, 3 miles west of Custer has a big water slide. My favorite is Horse Thief CG between Hill City and Sylvan Lake. It has a pool and playground and rock outcrops the kids love to climb. Also has LARGE campsites, especially the ones without services.

While looking for something else today I found Trout Haven Resort, 20 miles south of Deadwood. They claim to have an on site beer garden with entertainment. I didn%26#39;t see a pool but they let you fish for trout. Hope you enjoy your trip.

I camped at Stockade Lake (south) campground. It was beautiful. There is no pool but you can go to the beach on the lake which is very nice too.
