State Game Lodge or Blue Bell Restaurant Reviews

Anyone eaten at the State Game Lodge or Blue Bell under new management. My husband and I will be in the area the first of June and would like to splurge one night on a great South Dakota hearty food. Would you recommend either of these or another restaurant?

New management took over in 2007. I haven%26#39;t eaten at either since. I did eat at Sylvan Lake Lodge in 2007 and it was great. Sylvan is under the same management as the Game Lodge and Blue Bell.

My favorite place to splurge in Custer (city) is the Sage Creek Grill.

I have eaten at the Blue Bell Lodge in 2006 prior to new management. I can tell you that Blue Bell was very nice when we visited. We had excellent food (we tried our first bison here) and service. The waiter was so quick to fill our water glasses, and believe me, we kept emptying them as fast as he filled them. He was extremely patient and accomodating.

I%26#39;m sorry I can%26#39;t help you with a more current review, but I would certainly give Blue Bell a try based on our experience. We also liked the Alpine Inn in Hill City. I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;d call it a splurge, however. The food is extremely reasonably priced.

The Alpine Inn in Hill City is the BEST!!!

I don%26#39;t know about the food at Blue Bell or Sylvan Lodge(there is a menu on line) but they are both wonderful places to visit. I love going to those restaurants for the ambiance.They are true Black Hill experiences that you should take in. One overlooks Sylvan Lake and the other is on French Creek.You can%26#39;t go to the Hills without visiting them.

Can%26#39;t go to the Black Hills of South Dakota and not dine at the Alpine Inn.

6 or 9 oz filet mignon very reasonably priced and good.Best ';Deserts'; we ever had.......

Get there early ....jammed with people ........ closed on Sun.
