Hot Springs or Mitchel ???

We will be stay in Keystone for 2 nights in July after visiting Yellowstone, Cody area. We try to make decision that should we go to Hot Springs visit Mammoth Site and Evans Plung and stay one night before heading back to Dallas? or go to Wall Drug and Corn Palace and spend a night at Sious Falls? We will be traveling with our daughter, 11 years old. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hot Springs or Mitchel ???

The only way I%26#39;d go the Sioux Falls route would be if drove through the Badlands. I have not been to the Corn Palace, but I have been to Wall Drug. It%26#39;s a souvenir lover%26#39;s paradise; your 11 year old would probably like it depending on her interests. The Badlands are great at any age. To me, Wall Drug %26amp; Corn Palace wouldn%26#39;t be worth a stop based on their merits alone.

As for the Hot Springs route, the Mammoth site and Evans Plunge might be interesting enough for the 11 year old. Is she interested in archaeology? The Mammoth site changes all the time, as they are constantly finding more remains. Evans Plunge is a small waterpark that is fed by the hot spring. It looked quite basic from the outside, so if you are expecting a fancy waterpark on a grand scale, you might be disappointed.

Does your daughter or anyone else like horses? If so, I%26#39;d highly recommend the Wild Horse Sanctuary near the Mammoth Site. The tour is pricey (around $50 per person), but tours are small, and the guides really personalize them.

I would choose between the two based on what you really wish to see. Have a great trip!
