We are thinking of coming to rapid city and using it as a home base to explore south dakota and are wondering if there are go cart tracks, miniture golf, gift shops etc.etc. Every vacation trip we take we gotta ride the go carts with the kids lol

Rapid City does have go karts and mini golf.

Just a suggestion:

Have you considered staying in either Keystone, Custer, or Hill City as you base? These towns are a bit mroe centralized to the Black Hills attractions. You might want to consider them.

You will also find mini golf and go karts in these towns as well.

In addition to The Ranch in Rapid City, there is Flags and Wheels for go carts. Mini golf can be found at Pirate%26#39;s Cove next to Wal-mart.
