Hi there - we will be visiting Deadwood and plan on shopping in Rapid City. I have tried unsuccessfully to find out if there is a Safeway Store in Rapid City. My husband is diabetic and therefore on a low carb diet. We are looking for a particular pasta, which at onetime we could buy in Canada but not anymore. It is sold in Safeway stores and Super Target stores (not regular Target stores). The brand name of the pasta is Dreamfields. Any help would be appreciated.
Shopping in Rapid City
There are two Safeway stores in Rapid City...the westside Safeway near the intersection of West Main Street and Mountain View Road is bigger and more likely to have specialty items. The other smaller store is on Mount Rushmore Road on the south side of town where you come in from Mount Rushmore.
There is also a Safeway in Spearfish.
There is no Super Target.
There are several natural food stores in downtown Rapid City that might carry something like this, also.

Accommodator - once again thank you for your information. It is greatly appreciated.
Hi - we managed to %26#39;buy out%26#39; the 2 Safeway Stores of Dreamfields pasta. Should do us for quite sometime. Also stopped at Dan%26#39;s Supermarket - just outside of Bismarck and emptied the shevles there as well. We are good to go. Thank you for all your help.
Check thier site: dreamfieldsfoods.com/find-dreamfields-pasta.…
You can order it online. And find a store locator. And if you go here they will e-mail a coupon: dreamfieldsfoods.com/dreamfields-newsletter-…
I love the stuff, but it%26#39;s not sold in Canada anymore because Health Canada ruled against low carb being placed on food labels.
Hey WpgBanker - thanks for the information. I have actually talked to Dreamfields and they explained the shipping costs would be very costly due to the weight of the product - so we just have everyone we know that goes south to buy it for us and we do the same. It is a great product indeed. By the way - my hubby and me both grew up in The Peg-still have family there. Happy Travels.
I guess things have changed since I spoke with them. At that time (when I realised I couldn%26#39;t get it in the Peg) I called them to ask why, the cost wasn%26#39;t too bad. Like you I%26#39;ll be stocking up when I head South in a few days.
