Well it is free! But not ';worth it'; in the sense of going out of your way to see it.

But if passing through anyway (assuming you have another actual destination point planned!! :)) doesn%26#39;t hurt to look at it and go ';hmmmm, corn in cool patterns';. It is like one of those oddity stops that can break up boredom on the Interstate.

We will be driving by since we are driving from Sioux Falls to Badlands that day. We are also stoping by Wall Drug store.

I remember when we went to the four corners, it was way off the highway we were on and in the middle of no where. Its one of those palces that you should go if you are there but dont go way out of your way to go. At least that was the way it was 10 years ago.

Exactly. The Corn Palace is a good stop if you%26#39;re going by Mitchell on I-90. Is it worth a special trip? Probably not.

as a foreign tourist i found the corn palace much more of interest than wall drug which is basically a tacky tourist trap.

What did you like or dislike about each of them?

Certainly...if I had to pick one or the other, the Corn Palace would be preferred over Wall Drug. Wall Drug is fine but not as memorable as the Corn Palace. Still, in my opinion, neither would warrant a special trip.
