Hi, does anyone have any recommendations on lodging, etc. around Mt. Rushmore? My husband and I are planning a trip there late-August to around Labor Day and looking for suggestions.

We stayed in Custer SD, also plenty of places in Hill City and Keystone. I would search through this forum for plenty of motel/hotel recommendations.

For lodging near Mt Rushmore, I would wholeheartedly recommend the Roosevelt Inn in Keystone. I have a review on this site. This hotel is small, yet it has all the amenities you would need, including an indoor pool, game room, guest laundry, continental breakfast, and a excellent pizza parlor on site.
The website is rosyinn.com. Internet rates are available, but you have to call and ask for them. If you don%26#39;t mention them, they don%26#39;t offer them.

You cannot beat the K Bar S Lodge. It is at the foot of Mt. Rushmore and is not in the touristy section of town. It has a great complimentary hot breakfast, internet, quest laundry, etc. The staff is awesome. We were there the last of May.
From the street in Keystone, you can watch the monument lighting in the evening. Lots of hotels/motels in Keystone.
