Deadwood Tours and Casios

I%26#39;ve read that there are several tour companies operating in Deadwood . . . Alkali Ike Tours, Boot Hill Tours, Original Deadwood Tour and perhaps others. Does anyone have a recommendation? Would appreciate any suggestions including why you did or didn%26#39;t enjoy your experience.

Also, my dear wife likes to play the slots. Any recommendations? Smoking banned or allowed? We prefer no-smoking. I hear the casinos in Deadwood are quite small. Please name your top picks. Thanks.

Smoking is allowed in most casinos in Deadwood.

Stayed in Deadwood July1-5. Took the Boot Hill Tour. Think cost was $7 per person and it lasted about an hour. Well worth the cost in my opinion. Casinos are small and all allow smoking. Not a lot of choices if looking for slot machines and gets crowded in early evening. Saloon #10 had a free Wild Bill Hickcock shooting re-enactment every afternoon at 1 and 3PM. My favorite casinos for slots were the Gem and Midnight Star. BARU
