good fishing spot for kids

We are finally heading out next week and my 11yr old son really wants to fish while we are there. We are staying a couple of days in Spearfish and then are heading down to K Bar S Lodge. We are planning on spending time in Custer State Park--how is the fishing there??? Any suggestions?? Thanks!!!

Try any of the lakes. Center Lake, Legion Lake, Stockade Lake (in the park). Bismarck, Horsethief, Sheridan (outside of the park). There are more throughout the Black Hills.

You can fly fish on Grace Coolidge Creek in the park or Rapid Creek down or up stream of Pactola. Spearfish Creek in Spearfish Canyon.

You can take kids to Trout Haven for fishing farm type place.
