Here is what I have come up with-Suggestions appreciated

Friday-leave Mithchell hotel and drive through Badlands do loop and exit by Wall Drug check in at hotel in Keystone-Alpine in for dinner and Mt Rushmore lighting ceremony

Sat. Crazy Horse-drive by or stop? then Custer wildlife loop, Iron Mtn road, up to Rapid city for reptile gardens, cosmos house and maybe bear country.

Sun. 8am at Sylvan Lake for Sylvan Rocks for rock climbing, then depending on how the kids are some hiking here, Harney point or Sunday Gulch and then drive Needles Hwy (how long will this road take?)for Chuckwagon dinner at BlueBell Lodger at 6pm. Is going back up Needles the best way to get back to Keystone?

Mon. See Mt Rushmore and I would like to see Jewel cave and the Mammoth site in Hot Springs. Can we do this on one day. Any order they would best be done in?

Am I missing anything else that%26#39;s a must see?

Just returned from the area with kids 11 %26amp; 14. We enjoyed the Badlands, but it was very hot there so a couple of hours was enough. I would recommend Crazy Horse but be sure to go back a night for the light show. We didnt see much wildlife on the loop except for some buffalo. We also spent the day at Sylvan Lake. We did Harney Peak--it took us about 4 hours roundtrip, spending about 1/2 hour at the top. We also did Sunday Gulch the following day. This is shorter than Harney but definately more strenous climbing. If you are short on time, it might be better to take the highway around back to Keystone. We did Jewel Cave, as well.
