My husband and 10 year old son are driving from vegas to wisconsin. They have have sunday until wednesday for the trip. They want to hit South Dakota on the drive back but really only have part of a day. What would be the must see? Rushmore, Badlands...etc. They will be arriving there this Monday. Thanks!

Personally, do not miss Mt. Rushmore %26amp; driving through Custer State Park. Go early in the morning and ask the ramgers where the buffalo herds are...we saw 100%26#39;s. It is incredible %26amp; I think your son would love it. We did not have time to see any caves, but I bet your son would enjoy exploring! Have a safe trip!

I second what Pearlyjo says, try to drive custar and mt rushmore. If they had time and could drive through the badlands that would be neat too. But

I think your son would love to see the buffalo in custar state park more.
