Mt Rushmore

Hi was wondering are there any train connections from Chicago to mt rushmore ( close to rushmore ) didn%26#39;t want to drive all the way ( flying%26#39;s not an option )Incase i drive should i break journey half way ? what would be a nice place to break journey ?

There are no passenger trains through South Dakota. You could take a bus, though that would take more time than driving yourself, and you%26#39;d have to arrange for travel from Rapid City to Mt. Rushmore.

Other than plane and car, a bus is your only other option. On Greyhound it looks like about $300 and it takes 21 hours for Chicago to Rapid City. Like Lorhs says, you then have to figure out how to get around when you%26#39;re here.
