Batesland-Wind Cave-Hot Springs

Hi,

I%26#39;m planning to visit Wind Cave after leaving Batesland, our next Hotel will be in Hotsprings,can anyone tell me how far and long it would be to do the route from Batesland to Wind Cave and on to Hot Springs?

Batesland-Wind Cave-Hot Springs

Take US 18 from Batesland through Pine Ridge to Hot Springs. Then take US 385 north to Wind Cave. Then 385 back to Hot Springs. 1.5-2 hours from Batesland to Hot Springs. 15-20 minutes or so for Hot Springs to Wind Cave.

You can also try going north on SD 79 instead of going all the way to Hot Springs and go west near Buffalo Gap. You%26#39;ll take 6-8 miles of gravel and hook up with 385 just south of Wind Cave. This way is a little slower but you%26#39;ll see some additional country.
