Yes. Expensive rip-off. Not kid friendly. Go to Reptile Gardens. Story Book Island for little ones in Rapid City is free. Go on a hike somewhere in the Hills, but skip Roo Ranch.

What didn%26#39;t you like about the Roo Ranch? I was thinking about taking my kids 2 %26amp; 4 there because I do not like to get anywhere near snakes...even if they are in cages.

According to their website, Wednesdays are 1/2 off for under 12 and seniors!

This looks kind of interesting to me, I don%26#39;t care much for reptiles!

I can%26#39;t speak for the Roo Ranch as I haven%26#39;t been there.

A 2 and 4 year old might like Bear Country USA or Old McDonald%26#39;s Farm. Bear Country is a drive through wildlife park. Old McDonald%26#39;s is a petting farm. At that age, I think they might like the petting farm the most. Both of these are just south of Rapid City (near Reptile Gardens!).

If you%26#39;re taking kids, go to Old McDonald Farm. It%26#39;s WONDERFUL! Very clean, kids get to pet and go inside almost all the animal areas and feed them. Kind of spendy but if you get the black hills discount card, it saves you a lot! My girls LOVED This place and they are 2, 7 and 10. Highly recommend. Never did the Roo Ranch although our discount card had money off on admission. Maybe next time.
