We will be returning to Mt. Rushmore next year. Last time we stayed in Keystone at Best Western Four President%26#39;s Lodge. We were satisfied and it still receives good reviews. This trip we were thinking of staying at President%26#39;s View Resort. The suites look good on the site and have a distant view of Mt. Rushmore. Has anyone stayed here? I can%26#39;t find a review of this hotel on tripadvisor. Thanks
President's View ResortShould be just fine, I own and operate the local Airport shuttle and Limousine service and have picked up there many times without hearing any complaints.
Was the Four presidents lodge IN Keystone then, they moved a few years ago.
President's View ResortWhen we stayed at Best Western Four Presidents Lodge it was on the outskirts of town, that is why we were considering President%26#39;s View Resort, as it is closer to town. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I thought there would be some reviews of the Resort since it is fairly large, but couldn%26#39;t find any. Thanks again.
Hi Hikes!
I do not recommend staying at the President%26#39;s View Resort in Keystone for any reason. In fact, I would skip Keystone all together and stay in Rapid City or Custer. Custer would be a good bet considering it is in the middle of all the national parks if that is what you are interested in. I just returned from the President%26#39;s View resort two days ago. There were stains on the sheets, bugs in my room, no travel shampoo or conditioner, the jacuzzi is on some kind of wierd timer, and the service is aweful! I think most of their visitors are one-timers and they do not care about giving you a good experience. Let%26#39;s just say this is the first trip where I could not wait to get home! Also, the airport express shuttle service is poor as well. We scheduled a 6:30am pick-up and they simply forgot about us!! They sent us a shuttle (arrived at 7:15am) and then we STILL had to pick up from two other hotels. No apologies, nothing. Almost missed our flight! Go back to the Best Western!
Thanks. It is so weird that you wrote this. I just read some new reviews (one of them yours) on TA today and called about two hours ago and cancelled my room. We are going back to the BW as it gets good reviews and we have stayed there. When the receptionist at President%26#39;s View asked why I was cancelling. I told her that based on the reviews on TA I was afraid to stay there. She just said, ok. BW is a little cheaper and includes breakfast so I guess I%26#39;m really doing better money wise. I know I don%26#39;t like Keystone as far as the town, too touristy. My only reason for staying was I thought we might have a view of Mt. Rushmore but if the hotel is awful, it%26#39;s not worth it. Thanks again for the heads up.
We just returned from K Bar S Lodge in Keystone. It is just down the road from the strip, but completely secluded with a view of Mt. Rushmore. They serve a very nice continental breakfast including hot items. The lodge is beautiful and rooms were immaculate. I would highly recommend this place.
K Bar S looks very good on the website. I sent them an email about prices. I couldn%26#39;t find that on the web page. About how much are the rooms?
I think we paid $140/night for 2 Queen Beds. If you get a room with a balcony it was $10.00 more. All balcony rooms have a view of Mt. Rushmore. This does include a very nice breakfast which is served inside or outside of a gazebo area. We saw deer and turkey at the lodge. It was only about 10 minutes to Mt. Rushmore.
Thanks, I called and got a room with a balcony. It looks great. Thanks again for the advice.
Glad to hear about the K Bar S Lodge, we made reservations there for the second week in Sept, 4 days. Looking forward to a good time.
