We want to be in the park for the July 3 fireworks. Any advice about where to park? What to bring? Any other advice?

Great idea! Did just that I learned a bunch. Still open to new info if any one has been and has suggestions!

We made it to Mt. Rushmore for the fireworks. We didn%26#39;t get to the monument until a bit after noon, so we parked at least 3 miles away in Keystone and walked up the hill. We were in the park for over 7 hours before the fireworks. It was hot and crowded. There are several things to do there--and I think we did them all. We went for the adventure of it all--and we were not disappointed. The fireworks were great and we have great memories!
