From Mt. Rushmore to Chicago any nice recommondations?

Driving later this week from Mt. Rushmore to Chicago, was wondering if anyone can recommend any nice stops along the way, we are looking for anything picturesque or interesting that is a must see along the way.

In SD:

Badlands National Park

Minuteman Missile National Hitoric Site

The rest area at exit 263 near Chamberlain offers a nice view of The Missouri River/Lake Francis Case and is a nice facility.

The Corn Palace in Mitchell.

Falls Park in Sioux Falls.

Palisades State Park near Garretson.

The National Music Museum in Vermillion has one of the world%26#39;s best musical instrument collections.

After you leave SD, there is scenery around the Mississippi River. Depending on how much of a hurry you%26#39;re in, you could try to parrallel the river for a while but this will get you off of I-90. Effigy Mounds National Monument in northeast Iowa makes a really nice stop. You could exit I-90 just east of Lacrosse, WI, and drive along the Mississippi to Prairie du Chien, go to Effigy Mounds on the Iowa side and then head to Madison, WI, to get back onto I-90 to Chicago.

There is the Spam Museum in Austin, MN.

In Mitchell, just across the street from the Corn Palace is a doll museum. Also, in Mitchell is a pre-historic Indian village.

Pipestone, MN has the Pipstone National Monument where you can take a hike through the active quarries. The cultural center has pipe demonstrations made out of the red rock.
