driving on the Loop - east to west or vice versa?

I%26#39;ll be coming from Mount Rushmore - what makes more sense (timewise, but also in a sense that it is prettier with regard to sights, taking pictures etc) 1) taking I-90 to Wall and driving through Badlands from west to east, or coming in on 44 and picking up the Loop east-west? We%26#39;ll continue on I-90E if that makes a difference.... Thanks so much!!

If you are headed east, I%26#39;d go to Wall then take the loop west to east.
