Hi,

We took the 2-hour bus tour two years ago and greatly enjoyed it. It wasn%26#39;t quite as pricey then as it is now, but it was the most expensive attraction we did in the Black Hills by far. That being said, we did think it was worth the admission since the tour was very small (just our family of 3 and another couple), so we got a lot of individualized attention. The guide was excellent and really pointed out many details and wildlife besides the mustangs. We got to get really close to the horses, and the guide explained a lot about their care, feedings, and lifestyle in general. Some movies have been filmed at the Sanctuary, and the guide discusses them as well.

We went in late August and had no problems getting a tour. I don%26#39;t think you would need reservations, but you might want to call and ask what a typical day in July would be like.

I highly recommend seeing this attraction, especially if you love horses. I, too, questioned the price, and a good friend said it best. ';This time next year, you won%26#39;t be missing the money you spent on seeing the horses; however, you will always have wonderful memories to share with your family and others. These things are worth so much more.';

Enjoy your trip.
