One of the biggest campgrounds is the Mount Rushmore Palmer Gulch KOA. It%26#39;s on SD244 west of Mount Rushmore. http://www.palmergulch.com/

Here are some links for other campgrounds.

My family has camped (not in an RV) at Horsethief Campground south of Hill City 2 years in a row. The place is clean and well kept and the owner are nice and helpful. It has a pool, playground, fire pits and trees (bordered on three sides by national forest and just north of Sylvan Lake entrance to Custer State Park). The full service sites are very near the amenities, but those sites seem crowded together and a bit less than level. Their website has lots of pictures.

Palmer Gulch KOA in Hill City is an awesome campground with alot to do. It can accomodate very large units with everything you need. It has an adult only pool as well as a nice one for families and also a large hot tub. It has a beautiful mountainous view for a background and is very centrally located to everything you%26#39;ll want to see. Check them out on the web as there are to many things to list to do there.
