Motel and restaurant-Sioux Falls

I will be spending the night in Sioux Falls in two weeks and would like recommendations for a motel close to I-90 and a locally owned restaurant,type of food does not matter except maybe no Mexican. We eat Mexican at least twice a week and would like to try something different,maybe Italian if they serve something besides spaghetti and meatballs and lasagne.

I did a couple of searches but could find no current information.

If you want something basic, try one of hotels at the Cliff Avenue exit off of I-90. I know of a Comfort Inn, Days Inn and Super 8.

If you don%26#39;t mind driving a little further to the downtown area, the Country Inn and Suites is where I would recommend to stay. The last time I stayed there the rates were reasonable. It has a nice view of the Big Sioux River and downtown on one side of the hotel and good access to downtown. Access from I-29 if you%26#39;re coming from the west or I-229 if you%26#39;re coming from the east.

You could also stay in Brandon which is a few miles east of Sioux Falls. Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Inn are both there--I%26#39;ve stayed at both and they were fine.

The other main area of hotels in Sioux Falls is near I-29 and 41st Street which really isn%26#39;t all that far from I-90.

For an Italian restaurant, you can try Spezia. It%26#39;s located a ways south, though. It%26#39;s close to the I-29/41st Street area hotels. http://www.speziarestaurant.com/

You might want to try something downtown. Minervas is a long established American food place. There are several other good places in the vicinity of Minervas.

We have heard very nice things about Clubhouse Hotel %26amp; Suites. It%26#39;s off of I-29 %26amp; the 26th St/Louise Ave exit. There%26#39;s a Johnny Carino%26#39;s (great Italian) right next door %26amp; locally owned Foley%26#39;s Fish Chop %26amp; Steakhouse isn%26#39;t very far. If you want great food, go there.
