Showers

After staying for 4 nights at Custer State Park we will be staying for 3 nights in the National Forest off Spearfish Canyon and then 2 nights in the Roosevelt NF west of Fort Collins on the way to Albuquerque. I can only stand to go about 3 days without a shower. Typically, we%26#39;ve been able to find a hostel, city facility or RV type campground where we can take showers for a couple of bucks. I%26#39;ve done some checking in Deadwood, Lead and Speafish but, I can%26#39;t seem to find anyplace like this. I sent a couple of emails asking likely places. Does anyone know where we could get a shower in the area?

This is in late August after the rally.

There are a few KOA campgrounds in the area. Visit www.koa.com

Looks like there is one in Spearfish and Deadwood.

Showers

I saw those but, neither advertises showers for the use of non-guests. Do you know if they have this?

Rapid City isn%26#39;t that far from Spearfish Canyon and you might try getting a hold of the YMCA in Rapid City.

This one near Deadwood at least mentions day use fees so it might be worth a try.

The Spearfish City Park Campground has showers--I%26#39;m not sure what their rules are for guests/non-guests.

The Deadwood Recreation Center is just south of the courthouse by the grocery store. 605-578-3729

The Young Center is on the campus of Black Hills State University. bhsu.edu/Athletics/…Default.aspx

I don%26#39;t see where Wild Bills lists a day use fee.

I saw the Spearfish city CG but, it doesn%26#39;t look like they offer facilities for non-guests. I%26#39;ll give the rec center a call.

I really don%26#39;t want to drive to Rapid City. I would have thought that given the number of people who attend the Sturgis Rally that I wouldn%26#39;t have a problem finding someplace that offers showers for a fee.

The Rec Center is the place. They charge $1 per person to use the facilities.
