Going to be in Cheyenne, WY in Oct. and have 4 days to do some touring. Was thinking of visiting Southeast corner of SD (Badlands, Custer SP, Black Hills, etc.) Appreciate any suggestions. Plus, do you think we%26#39;ll get snow? Is that usual? We were out here the same time last year and hit snow in the higher elevations of WY and YNP. Thanks.
SE SD in OctoberForgot to ask about road closures. Is that a problem in Oct? We ran into that in Yellowstone.
SE SD in OctoberWhile you might run into a little snow, it shouldn%26#39;t be enough to stop a trip to the area. Many people are still visiting in October. Early October is obviously better than late October but both should work.
There are only a couple of winter road closures in the Black Hills and they usually don%26#39;t happen until November.
Check around on this forum for things to see and do.
By the way, you%26#39;ll be visiting southwest SD, not southeast.
