How Far In Advance to Reserve A Cabin??

My husband and I plan on spending one night in/around the Badlands in early September. Does anyone know how far in advance we need to reserve one of the Cedar Pass Lodge cabins? We%26#39;re not sure which day we%26#39;ll be arriving so reserving far in advance isn%26#39;t practical. Also, does anyone know which of the cabins offers the best view of the Badlands? We%26#39;ve visited the park several times and just driven the main road but this time we%26#39;d love to stay a night in the park and see a sunrise. Thanks in advance for your help.

How Far In Advance to Reserve A Cabin??

Hi Grandma Bette:

We spent a night in a Cedar Pass cabin in July last year and we booked it in April. I would think that September is not nearly as crowded as the summer months, so you hopefully will be able to get a cabin once you decide on your dates.

All of the cabins are on one little road as you pull into Badlands Nat%26#39;l Park, so I don%26#39;t know if one has a better ';view'; than another. When you call to make your reservation, ask the lady/gentleman that you are speaking with about this, they might be able to give you a suggestion with regards to a view. We found the folks working there to be extremely friendly and helpful.

The view is spectacular at sunrise/sunset, have a great trip.
